Top 10 Reasons Why the Wii Sucks

1. Controls

The Wii is geared towards making the player get their butt off the couch and moving, so the controls are based off of how hard you can whip the remote around. This ideology is not player friendly, if the player whips the remote around too hard things will be broken and somebody will get hurt. The games for the consul that do not require are often confusing because of the Wii’s remote’s over whelming number of buttons , 1, 2 ,home, c,z, b, a, and the control pad.

Top Ten Handheld Games

1. Angry Birds

One of the world’s cheapest and most accessible game for apple products is Angry Birds. The objective of this game as most of you may know is to launch these cutely designed wingless birds at pigs via slingshot. This game has become so widely popular that people of all ages and versatility play it, even people that you would never have thought would ever play *gasp* a video game.

Top Ten Coolest Weapons

Golden Gun – Golden Eye

Who didn’t want this gun? One shot one kill. Single was that it was about the smallest gun they had in the game. Everyone wanted to find this and just get kills after kills with this gun. Even when I played I wanted it. When a mission called for something else I’d still want that gun because it was just the cool to carry.

Top 10 Zombies in a Video Game

Top ten Zombies in a video game

10. Left for Dead - common zombie
Left for Dead both the first and second have great creatures to fight. However when it comes to the realism of the zombie it starts to fade away. They have some of the qualities of a good zombie but have a major flaw that puts them at number 10. Like all zombies they are devoted to going after you and trying to kill you. they are found in hordes which is always good but they run. Some zombies can be acceptable with a small run but these ones are far from that. They full on sprint towards you. A decaying body should not be able to move that quickly. Other zombies below this one may run but these out rank them due to the fact that these are sprints that may or may not be faster than I am.

9. Borderland regular zombies

In borderlands' Island of Doctor Ned you encounter several different types of zombies. These zombies are not the ideal zombie in most cases. The one zombie that does make it to the top ten list though is the common zombie. They are slow moving which is always good when looking at the quality of a zombie but they have one quality that bothers me enough to put them at number 9. After killing one of these zombies they drop a brain! I know it’s just part of the game but still why is this zombie dropping a brain. Zombies are not supposed to only go after the brain, it’s actually one of the parts of the body they normally would not touch its to protected by the skull. These little details and the fact that they are not decaying enough as a zombie in a swamp environment put them at number 9.

                                                8. Dead Island Thug

In Dead Island you play as a survivor trying to well survive on this undead island. The zombies in this game are very well done with the graphics. But, one in particular makes it to number 8. The thugs in this game show many good zombie qualities that make them pleasing to a zombie fanatic. They have that decaying body look that is always a plus when looking at zombies. It’s the worst when you go to kill a zombie and the only difference from him and you is that he has a little red under his eye. These zombies share the perfect zombie quality of being slow. In my eyes that is so much creepier than a fast zombie. As well as their monstrous roar they give off a feeling of danger and death. However they do have some mutated qualities that make them different from most of the ideal zombies out there. They are much larger than the normal zombie due to a bone growth from infection. They are also much stronger than their normal human life. Zombies due not change any physical abilities when they turn. They now have no care about their body and they will do anything to get to you. Because of this they will stretch their physical abilities to their limits which sometimes will harm themselves. But, gaining a massive amount of strength is not one of the characteristics that makes a good zombie.

7. Undead Nightmare Bruisers
A true zombie will not do anything to you if it does not see you. They can smell you very well but if they do not see you they will not go after you. In Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare the Bruisers share these same characteristics. You can avoid them just by keeping away from their line of sight. But, if they see you the will do everything to kill you so be careful. They also have a very well done decay to them. Not too much to make them gory but enough to distinguish them from a living person and easily classify them as a zombie. Their strength makes sense due to the fact that these zombies were, in their living form, fat. So, when becoming a zombie they were now a two hundred pound walking dead flesh eating blob coming after you. And the only sufficient way to kill them is to shoot or destroy the brain. This is a huge characteristic that many games do not use that should be done. The only true way to kill any zombie is to attack the brain. The only problem I have with these bruisers is the fact that they will charge at you. Not just a run but a full on sprint. The dead are supposed to be uncoordinated they cannot sprint!

6. Call of Duty Nazi Zombies

In the add-on to some of the Call of Duty games they have the option to play Nazi Zombies. The zombies here have potential to be great zombies but some characteristics persuade me to put them as number 6. At first the zombies are slow. They go after you in a shambling pace. Slow enough where you can walk up to them and knife them and get out of the way quick enough so they will not touch you. When shooting their legs or blowing them up with a grenade they will go down to the ground and now crawl towards you. This makes perfect sense. When a grenade blows up it shoots shrapnel everywhere and a shock wave that will hit only targets in a short distance from the origin. The shrapnel is usually what kills a person, tearing into their vital organs and losing too much blood. Zombies do not care if they have a missing liver or heart they will keep going on. But, if the explosion destroys the legs making it impossible to use they will just crawl. The best way to kill these zombies is by shooting the head. Again a perfect characteristic of a good zombie. It is possible to kill them otherwise but it is much more difficult. With these zombies the only concern I have is that they know exactly where you are at all times and the higher you get in the levels the more they will run. But, just looking at the slow ones they are almost perfect. Except for that little fact that they will find you no matter where you are.

5. Zombie Infection common Zombie
For those of you who like to play the games on your phone Zombie infection has great zombies. They are only killed if shot in the head. They even give you the satisfaction of always blowing the head up completely when shot. This is not a good characteristic of a zombie mainly because that will never happen unless the gun is of a very high caliber or a shotgun at a close distance and that goes for a living person’s head as well but that is only a small problem that the enjoyment makes up for. Almost all of the zombies are slow they make pick up some pace when they get close to you but that is normal, it’s only a shambling fast walk. For a smart phone game the zombies have a very well done dead look to them. There is obvious bight marks and blood and decay on the zombies that really lets you know that these things are not alive. You can even tear off their limbs and still have them being dead or undead as I should put it. This is fantastic in the mind of a zombie fanatic. They will even grab onto you and try to BITE you. Not scratch or slap or punch but bite like a zombie should. My fault for them however is the fact that they are too animalistic. They will roar when they go after you. Not moan but roar like a lion would. These are still humans just their dead and have become cannibalistic. The roar is too threatening and like I keep saying animalistic. The only reason why a zombie would moan is because there is still some air going into their lungs and out it’s just not doing anything. They almost have no control over it. But, roaring like a lion that is going too far.

4. Undead Nightmare Traditional zombie
Most zombies are found in games of more recent history like that of the zombies found in Left for Dead. The oldest that has been seen was that in Call of Duty World at War. But, now Red Dead Redemption has its own version of a zombie game called Undead Nightmare. Again this is a game with many Zombies but the best of them all would have to be their Traditional zombie. Their best feature is the fact that they have to be shot in the head. There is no other way of killing them. They do run sadly but at least this run is more shambling than a real run. This is the only thing that makes them from being any closer to the number one zombie. These zombies are freshly made so in that case they do not need to be torn apart too much. Like I just said they are not torn up but when you do see them they are obviously zombies with blood all over their body shambling around with no purpose when they do not know your there that is.

3. Resident Evil 3 common Zombie
One of the most renowned zombie games is Resident Evil. There are countless versions with even more different types of zombies. From all of these zombies one really stands out from the rest; the common zombie in Resident Evil 3. They are almost the perfect zombie. Walking slowly never fast, slow enough that you can actually walk past them. They are definitely zombies when you see them. The blood and overall demeanor is very zombie-like. The graphics are not too good due to the time period so that has to be put in consideration but the graphics does harm to the zombies enough to make them at number 3. Other than that killing them is great, having to shoot the head and the way they attack is fantastic! They actually bite your character’s neck! They do not punch you or slap or anything like that. Just if they are close enough they will dig their teeth into your flesh.

2. Dead Island Walker
In a more recent game, Dead Island, they have a zombie that is close to perfect, the walker. Almost every aspect about it is perfect. They all have some sort of mutilation going on and they have different appearances. It’s not all the same looking walker. Some have their ribs showing others have torn arms or legs and they are not always found just standing around. After falling a zombie may not get back up if there is no need. With that in mind some of the zombies may look dead but when you get close they SLOWLY get up to attack you. When they do so their coordination is terrible and it’s brilliant. A dead body should not be able to have balance and these zombies do not have any. Just kicking them in the chest may knock them over or at least push them back so they almost fall. If you do not kick them your weapons can still give you an advantage. Hitting their arms may not knock them over or make them stop attacking you but it may disarm them, literally so they cannot use that arm or maybe hitting their legs with disleg them. These zombies also have the characteristic that makes it so the surest way to kill them is by smashing their heads in. From the game’s story line the zombies are set up amazingly. They stay in groups but not right on top of each other. They are spread apart from each other. When there are not too many zombies in an area they are not going to bunch together if there is no desired human to attack. But, when there is a human they all go together. Again such a brilliant zombie characteristic that is present in this game. Even there speed is good. Like the coordination mentioned above they do have a shamble and will only speed up when they get close to you. And at that point it is not even a super-fast speed. It is mostly a quick burst of reaching for you. A zombie characteristic that is found almost everywhere. They are not that difficult to avoid either. A quick kick or hit will move them out of your way and your now golden and free to go about your business.

1.     Dead Rising zombies
The number 1 zombie in a video game with the most zombie characteristics and presence is found in Dead Rising. Unlike all the other games with many types of zombies this game’s zombies are all number 1. Located in a mall there are hundreds of zombies which is understandable considering a mall gets crowded. The mall is filled with them. Yet maneuvering around them is no problem. A zombie is not supposed to be fast the only speed they have is when they are right next to you and that is the deal here. If they see you they will slowly walk over to you but quickly throwing a trash can at them will stall them enough to walk by them yourself. Really that is not even needed. They are slow enough to walk around them with ease. This should always be the case for a small group of zombies. They should not be a problem at all. One or two or even six zombies is not going to kill you if you know what to do. A zombie is the strongest when they are in huge hordes. Which again is found in these zombies. You can encounter them in small groups and be fine or you could go to places like the parking garage where the zombies are piled wall to wall. In that situation it is almost impossible to make it out alive. Shooting them in the head always kills them nicely and they never get harder. The more you level up in the game these zombies will stay the way they are. There may be more of them but they do not mutate or change into a faster stronger zombie they just stay as the slow zombie that only attacks when they are latched onto you making them the best zombie in any zombie game.

Top 10 Gaming Companies

Nintendo

Nintendo is known for the hard core gamers, its more for the laid back people or the ones being introduced to games. Some are people that are older and still play, like people are more  addicted to Mario, Zelda, even Bubble Bobble, ect. This company is well known a go to brand. I would consider Mario Galaxy a solid Mario game; stars shouldn’t talk to you just collect them. Then again it’s Mario

Top 10 Best Platformer Games

10.Sonic Adventure 2- This game featured fast 3-d sonic platforming in arguably Sonic’s best 3d game to date. It featured story elements of the first game but showed great improvement with better gameflow and better, more expansive stages. Though the game features some treasure hunting/ shooter levels, the adrenaline pumping action of the Sonic and Shadow levels featured about the fastest 3-d platforming at that time.

Top 10 Best/Coolest/Most Innovative Controllers

Top 10 Best/Coolest/Most innovative Controllers Final

10. NES Advantage- This was one of best controls for the Nintendo Entertainment System because it sported several cool features such as the large joy stick on the left of the controller and 2 sets of buttons on the right. The joy stick was attached to simulate an arcade experience while one of the sets of buttons were turbo buttons and the others were normal. The turbo buttons allowed you to speed of the movement of game play with an adjustable knob.

9. Super Scope- The Super Scope was a huge wireless bazooka that Nintendo created for use for with several shoot-em-up games such as Super Scope 6 and Terminator 2: The Arcade Game. It worked through the use of infrared technology signaled by electron beams on the screen. Too bad this beast required 6 AA batteries and a lot of patience to hit your target.

You must be stealthy and use the various executions that are in the game. You could use a variety of weapons such as bats, plastic bags, crowbars, blades, and firearms. The gruesome variety of executions and the dark stealth setting combine to make this one of the most violent games out there.

God of war is a very gory game featuring combos and kill moves gained when playing the game. It is an action adventure video game based on Greek mythology that will require the players to kill Zeus. Top 10: Final Fantasy Games

Author: David Lam

1) Final Fantasy VII
Final fantasy VII provided a whole new gaming experience and it is one of Square's biggest milestones when it came to the Final Fantasy franchise. This game provided a whole new unexplored world that involved new battle features and game play styles. The cyber punk setting along with the good animation/ artwork went hand in hand in convincing players to play this game.
2) Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X is probably the second biggest game in the series which received mostly good reviews. It was large and kept the players' attention for a very long time. The artwork and graphics are at a level that surpasses most games. The summons that aid your characters is not a new concept. However the summons are all well designed and are visually appealing. There is various mini games and secrets to keep players busy for more than ten hours. Such an interesting story combined with great graphics makes for one of the best Final Fantasies in the franchise.
3) Final Fantasy X-2
Following the surprising ending of FFX, FFX-2 provides a continuation that is well thought out and executed. The game features dramatic changes to the heroine in the previous game and also an ending to the tale between Yuna (the heroine) and Tidus (hero). There are new weapons and abilities that will astonish players as to how much time has passed since the previous game. FFX-2 has provided a wrap up to the story and it ranks third because of its great reception.

Top 10: Coolest Armor

Author: David Lam

10. Gears of War 2 - COG Armor
At ten we have the COG armor which has no special abilities meaning it is at ten. Since this armor does look badass it made it on the list. What is better than blowing off and alien's head while looking like a badass with a chainsaw bayonet gun on your back.

9. Oblivion's - Daedric Armor
Here we have armor that does what it is meant to do, Protect ya neck. This armor is great since its covers your whole body and it looks cool. What is better than looking like an anti Christ while you slash off someone's head. Unfortunately this armor has no special powers only the power to protect your body from an arrow.

8. God of War - Cratos's Armor
Enjoy bashing people with two swords attached to chains? Well then this armor set goes well with that weapon. Cratos's armor is plain badass. You wear this so you can go fight a god. Fighting a god is kind of hard and this armor is what will be your grundle guard while fighting Zeus.

Top 10: Shooting Games

Author: David Lam

1. Bioshock
The reason why Bioshock is first should be common knowledge. I mean it is great with some nice guns that are antiques yet they kick ass. Then of course we have the special elements you can add to the guns. Not only that but Bioshock features a nice story driven FPS game and most FPS games are driven through multiplayer and their plots tend to be so-so that is why Bioshock got first place.

2. Crysis
Ah Crysis brings tears to my eyes when I think of the action and happiness this game gave me. This game features cool weapons an awesome suit and
intense action. Don't forget the great graphics and the detail as you see the footprints in the sand. This game is great and ranks 2 with a well developed story line.

3. Halo Reach
Halo has made some good games and now we have Reach. New weapons and new abilities offer a nice change up in the normal Halo game play. Now you feel invincible as a Spartan who can sprint and wreak havoc ranking it as third.

Top 10: Hard Bosses

Author: David Lam

1. Final Fantasy VII
Awesome the ruby weapon just....great. Here is a boss that can kill you easily even when you did everything in the game 100% except kill this guy. No matter what he is a challenge and even at max level you will have a hard time killing this jerk. Even with the best sword in the game he can stomp you.

2. Final Fantasy Tactics
Enjoy killing this vain creature. Altima will own you period end of story. Unless you use the cheap tactic that Ramza is capable of you will lose and it will happen quickly. You kill her once she comes back stronger and second once again here she comes. Only after round three are you rewarded the ending of the game which you have worked hard for.

3. God of War II
Boy is he pissed and all you did was kill a bunch of gods who were his family. Well Zeus the king of Gods will whoop you good because there is a reason why he is the king. No more button mashing it is time to get serious because Zeus will destroy those of you who survived on button mashing.

Top 10: Scary Enemies

Author: David Lam

1. Left 4 Dead - The Witch
Listen to the sad crying of a girl as you walk through the empty streets. There are zombies everywhere and you think you must help this poor girl. Wait, she is actually an insane zombie that can knock you down with one hit from her talon like claws. Get too close and she will kill you. If you disturb this eerie creature you will die and all it takes is a flashlight, stray bullet, or simple stare to set her off the walls.

2. Bioshock - Spider Splicer
This just looks creepy I mean something hanging off the ceiling and a strange little kid running away. This is the spider splicer besides the fact it can ambush you from walls or ceilings it has a disfigured face and creepy body. Here is the icing to the cake this creature will attack you with meat hooks and who is not surprised by seeing meat hooks. They desire to tear you to bits and you have to go through Rapture fighting these crazed monsters.

3. Fallout - Deathclaw
This guy is plain stupid to take on a Deathclaw with his bare hands. This creature is tough it can take bullets like its candy and it also packs a punch. Worse than fighting one is being unaware of one and being attacked from behind. These guys can take huge chunks out of your health and so the only way to stop this creature is to keep your distance or turn your difficulty back to very easy unless you already had done so making you a player with no ambition.

Top 10: Skateboarding Video Games

Author: Joe Ruffini

10. Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland (THAW)
Probably the last good skate video game produced by Tony Hawk. After THAW then the Tony Hawk name in video games just went into a large hole. The fact that there were no loading screens once you actually were playing the game was so amazing. The story was definitely a different than all others. Rather than trying to go pro you were trying to make this giant park out of whatever you could get your hands on. By the end it was definitely one of the sketchiest looking parks that will ever grace your eyes but it was definitely fun.

9. Thrasher: Skate and Destroy
The skate game to start them all pretty much. It wasn’t perfect by any means but it was one amazing game. When I was younger I would play this game for hours. The tricking in the game was fun and easy to pick up for the average guy or girl. Then was the soundtrack, which was nothing less than amazing. It was one of the first games to have actual artists get on the soundtrack. Thrasher: Skate and Destroy definitely can claim to be a classic in the video game community.

8. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater (THPS)
The first in the series of amazing skateboarding video games, without THPS we would not have any of the games we do now. It was the first but since it was the first it had a lot of errors and what not that needed to be ironed out so it wasn’t too amazing. It didn’t have the most amazing graphics but it got the job done. THPS is a classic with Skate and Destroy, no doubt about it.

Top 10: Video Game Songs

Author: David Lam

1. At one is my personal favorite Ezio's Family by Jesper Kyd and it is exceptional. It has a nice vocal with a soft string guitar. The violins are always a nice added touch and the song fits the time period of the game.

2.  Ranked second is Kuja's Theme from FF IX and it is a well done piano song by Nobuo Uematsu. It is dark and sinister which matches his character. It has this mysteriousness behind it because no one knows who Kuja is and why he has a tail just like the main character.

3. Ranked third is the title song that plays in FF Tactics which starts off with a sad melody but ends strong and this song matches how the whole game is played. At the start we are sad and depressed over the state of the land and Ramza learns what it means to have determination and this song represents that.
4. Fourth is I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire by the Ink Spots. It is heard in Fallout 3 and fits the 1950s setting the game is in. It is nice and calm feeling good to hear in such a gloomy game with such a depressing environment.

5. The Halo theme is ranked fifth. A song with a nice monkish vocal chorus and many violins which add an epic melody to it the song represents the game entirely. It is epic and intense relating to the halo games and it has this ancient tone relating to the artifacts the chief must interact with to help save humanity.

6. Ain't No Rest for the Wicked by Cage the Elephant is sixth. By itself this song is great and it fits the tone that Borderlands has throughout the game. It is nice and feels good to hear when killing scags and shooting psycho raiders. The music director really made a nice choice in having this song represent the game.

7. The Mario theme is a classic and it is great. it is very catchy and sounds good to hear on a gloomy day. Also the happiness is just a taste of what is to come because there is more in the game like killing goombas. Always remember the classics and Mario is one of them.

8. Can't put in Mario without remembering Link. What a nice song it was with its very interesting melody that seemed to tell the story of a young man on a quest. Who doesn't love the theme song from the original I mean it was just as catchy as Mario's theme.

9. To Zanarkand is such a sad song from FF X. What a sad melody and what great use of violins. Every sound is like a thousand words telling the story of a broken heart. This is the song you would want to hear when you think of sad movie scenes.

10. Heron Blue by Sun Kil Moon which played in the Gears of War 3 is a great song. It is a blues/ country song that has this nice melody played with the guitar. It definitely relates to Dom who has a grown beard which signifies that he is broken and sad just like the song.

Top 10: Most Beautiful Female Characters

Author: Amy Pistone

1) Princess Peach
Something’s gotta keep Mario coming back for her, right? Peach is the quintessential princess with fair skin and big bright blue eyes. Her trademark yellow fluffy hair is her best feature, but her perky little nose also completes her look to make her a princess that not even Mario could resist.

2) Rosalina
Similar to Peach, Rosalina is a blonde bombshell. Her hair is a subtle strawberry-blonde with a large chunk of bangs covering her right eye, giving her mystery. Her left eye is a shockingly bright turquoise, rivaling those deep blues of the Princess. She has a long, elegant nose and a perfectly tiny pout to match. Her daintiness is her best attribute, granting her an understated beauty that few characters have.
3) Zelda
My my, haven't we grown up over the years? Zelda’s matured into a strong female with her looks reflecting that. She sports delicate elf ears and a prominent nose, as well as an alabaster complexion. She has catlike blue-gray eyes that could bring even the most stoic of Gorons to their knees. Like Peach, her strongest feature is her long dirty blonde hair that lies straight and silky. Overall her features are strong and beautiful and in no way severe.

Top 10: Most Influential Videogames

Author: Amy Pistone

1) GoldenEye 007
There were certainly other “shooter” games before this one, but GoldenEye was the first to really introduce some of the features we know and love today – headshots, scopes, missions. This first person shooter was the first “major” shooting game to hit the N64, and has stood the test of time. Many games following the release of GoldenEye have modeled gameplay after it because the original was so well made. The game was such a success that a remake of it is to be released in November of 2010.

2) Tetris
You’ll be left playing in your sleep. Tetris is revolutionary in the fact that absolutely ANYONE can play it. Children can catch on quickly to the gameplay and parents can prove their puzzle skills. The music is catchy beyond belief on levels no game has yet to match. Tetris is influential because it is a “franchise” that has not been revamped drastically since its release, and yet sequels can keep being made and they will sell.

3) Grand Theft Auto
Grand Theft Auto is by far the most controversial game to be released. Parents are against it with more fire than an arsonist, and children wistfully wait for the day when they’ll be able to buy it for themselves. GTA contains more of the edgy, “taboo” subjects – IE: beating up… ladies of the night? GTA has paved the way for future games with more controversial storylines, ultimately yielding more interesting games in the long run. In addition, this first game has established a powerful franchise that should be around for years to come.

Top 10: Most Handsome Male Characters

Author: Amy Pistone

1. Leon S. Kennedy
There’s something mysterious about a man with that long, grungy haircut. Add smoldering gray eyes to the equation and you get one of the most handsome men in all videogames. Leon’s facial features are intense and striking in a way that can make a woman weak in the knees.

2. Squall
Squall has that rough, beaten down persona that most girls dream about. You know how they say chicks dig scars? It’s true, because with his scar disrupting his perfect face, it makes him seem more dangerous as well as broken. His hair flops in perfect unkempt waves and his narrow blue eyes look like they could stare into a girl’s soul. What more could a girl want?

3. Prince of Persia (Sands of Time)
God, the Prince. He’s sooo dreamy… oh, right. Explanation. He has an appearance to rival Johnny Depp… his dark brown, roughed-up hair, clear blue eyes that look like they could explode because of too much color… it is every girl’s dream. Seriously. Every, single, girl.

Top 10: Failtastic Female Characters

Author: Amy Pistone

1) Ashley Graham – Resident Evil 4
In my opinion, Leon should have just let her die. She was THAT bad. For someone who is the President’s daughter, one would think that she would have had some self defense training. Or at least some training on how to shut up. For the majority of the game, all Ashley does is whine and allow zombies to attack her. “LEON, HELP!” Help yourself, Ashley. Leon’s busting his tush trying to save you and you aren’t making it any easier for him. The most annoying aspect of the game is having to protect a character that you couldn’t care less about. Ashley had the potential to be a really strong character – writers could have had her mouthing off to her captors, fighting off zombies with as much zeal as Leon, and being a character (or even a love interest) that you actually WANTED to save. Instead, she is by far one of the most annoying characters in all video games, leaving you in the end wondering why they couldn’t have killed her off.

2) Princess Peach – Mario Series
Just another peaceful day in the Mushroom Kingdom… Mario’s on his way for a nice lovely tea party with Peach… WHAT? SHE’S BEEN KIDNAPPED? IT CAN’T BE! Let me get this straight: I love Peach. She’s cute, pretty, and… well, that’s about it. Seriously, how DUMB does a girl need to be to get kidnapped almost every day of the week? The problem with Peach is just that: she’s flaky and naïve, willing to buy into any of Bowser’s traps. It is a wonder they even let her outside. Princess Peach plays into the dumb woman stereotype, and worst of all, she’s an unappreciative dumb woman! I am in no way saying that all women should fawn all over their men, but after ALL Mario has done for her, she barely gives him a kiss! Shouldn’t Peach’s palace be at the very least, Mario and Peach’s palace? Or if she is not interested in Mario, maybe she should make that clear… and maybe ask Toad or Luigi to save her next time around.

3) Lara Croft – Tomb Raider Series
I’m aware that Lara is a strong chick who knows what’s up. She doesn’t need to be saved or protected, she can do that herself! But… who is she trying to impress in those booty shorts? My sole problem with Lara is her impractical clothing, as well as unhealthy body image. No woman, I repeat, no woman, would be swinging on vines in a pair of Daisy Dukes. They’re vastly uncomfortable not to mention completely useless as protection. She might as well be in her underwear – don’t get any ideas now, developers. Even more ridiculous is her absurd body. Lara is pretty much stick-thin with the exception of two enormous… erm… features. It is an unrealistic body type that isolates the female gamers as well as giving some boys an impossible ideal of the perfect woman.
Woman Fail: Having inadequate attire as well as an over-sexed image.

Top 10: Cutest Mario Characters

Author: Amy Pistone

1) Twink in Paper Mario
He’s the charismatic cutie who pretty much steals the show – Mario better watch out! Twink willingly risks his life and puts himself in dangerous situations for the wellbeing of Peach, as well as Mario. He’s just so adorable because he always tries his best and he flutters around with the utmost cuteness. Plus, he’s a talking star! What’s not to love?

2) The Lumas in Super Mario Galaxy 1+2
Like Twink, these stars are amazingly adorable, but they also transform into other stuff to help Mario out. They can turn into levels and mushrooms, all the while remaining as cute as possible. They also make what can only be considered the CUTEST sound ever when they transform, as it is some squeak/squeal combo that is just inhumanly adorable. It is impossible to not smile when they float by because they are just THAT cute.

3) Star Bunny in Super Mario Galaxy 1+2
They’re annoying as can be, yet it is not possible to love these bouncy bunnies. They’ll hop around while Mario has to chase them in order to get a Power Star. They can be spotted in many different varieties such as blue or yellow, but they are always chipper and jolly. Their happiness is infectious, even when you’ve been chasing them for 10 minutes straight.
