Bass Pro Review

You must really love to fish for it to be fun, and I am talking about real fishing. Sitting there in a boat waiting for a fish to go after the bait, for a very long time is not very exciting.  But, being out in the middle of the water with the wind and the sound of the water splashing against the boat or even on a dock is peaceful. In real life it’s a relaxing activity like sitting by a fire. However in a video game it’s one of the most boring things you can do.

There is no real water, no wind, no fresh air, and no real fish! Yet you still just sit there casting your rod waiting for a fish to go after the bait. Reeling the fish in has no real good excitement to it either. Depending on if you are using the Xbox fishing rod or not you must reel the fish in either slow or fast and that is about it. Not very exciting (Unless you’re four guys who are extremely bored and have nothing better to do, then anything you do can be looked at as exciting).

In this game you create your own guy or woman and you go through tournaments trying to catch the biggest fish. That’s about it. There is not much else going along with the storyline. Yea you can buy new equipment and there are other people but they do not have any real storyline behind them and they are not very interesting people. When and if you do win a tournament there really is not much excitement. You do not feel accomplished. All that happens is you get a little bit of money and unlock a new map, which you do even if you do not win except then you get no money. It does not even have like fireworks or anything to make you feel accomplished when coming in first place. When you play this game you spend half an hour each tournament catching like five fish and if you do win nothing exciting happens. It does not make you want to play anymore. There is no cliffhanger or really any excitement to it at all.
