1) Manhunt
Manhunt has received a lot of controversy on its release date. This game encourages players to kill people in horrific manners for extra points. You must be stealthy and use the various executions that are in the game. You could use a variety of weapons such as bats, plastic bags, crowbars, blades, and firearms. You will also have the ability to throw items in order to distract the people you are hunting such as bottles, cans, and severed heads. The gruesome variety of executions and the dark stealth setting combine to make this one of the most violent games out there.
2) God of War 3
God of war is a very gory game featuring combos and kill moves gained when playing the game. It is an action adventure video game based on Greek mythology that will require the players to kill Zeus. The theme is revenge and throughout the game you will receive weapons such as a whip, cestus, or gauntlet. There is gore and blood pouring on your character as you defeat the gods and their minions.
3) Grand Theft Auto IV
GTA had to make the list and that is because of the violence that is encouraged in the game. It is set in a real urban lifestyle that requires the player to do many illegal activities which mostly involves killing. You are provided with various firearms and explosives as you gain more money. At the start of the game you are forced to use less costly weapons such as bats, knifes, swords, and pistols. Due to the setting of the game many critics believe this game encourage violence in teenagers and they firmly believe that this game has caused crime rates to go up
4) Postal 2
Postal 2 is a very violent and disgusting video game that has me astonished and appalled. Now it has the player constantly committing acts of brutal violence which involves decapitation and mutilation. You have the choice of picking up a cat and using it as a silencer. You can also train a dog to become loyal to the point where you play fetch with severed heads. Supposedly Postal III will come out for the Xbox 360 and that will give gamers something to play for a very long time.
5) Fallout 3
Fallout 3 is extremely violent due to its sandbox game style. The player must explore the post nuclear wasteland in search for his father. Throughout the wasteland you will encounter strange creatures and new societies or cults. You have the V.A.T.S. system which is very similar to the dead eye function in Red Dead Redemption. This system allows you to choice where to shoot your enemy and the number of times you shoot resulting in interesting displays of gore as you watch a mutant’s head fly off his shoulders.
6) Oblivion Elder Scrolls IV
Oblivion is not as gory as the other games but there is such a huge amount of violence. With a large variety of weapons and magic Oblivion tends to point toward killing as the solution to all problems. Players are even tempted to kill the innocent citizens you meet because many of them are extremely annoying including the Fan who decides to worship you, the champion of the arena. The most entertaining aspect of the game is the dead bodies which act like rag dolls. Seeing limbs flail in ridiculous ways makes players want to kill and push bodies off of mountains.
7) Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks
Mortal Kombat made the list with its insane martial arts and gore involved in the executions. The characters all have different violent killing techniques. At one point you could use the removed head of a previous opponent to be thrown at another opponent and cause damage. Truly it is a violent video game with some nice fighting action.
8) Gears of War 2
Gears of war may not involve decapitation but it has an excessive amount of blood and gore. The executions are unique but they quickly get old and soon you no longer wish to do special executions. The executions are very bloody and the most brutal execution is the curb stomp.
9) Thrill Kill
A truly disgusting video game that was canceled. It is violent and features many amputated limbs and gore. There are also many sexual themes and mutilations featured which resulted in the game getting canceled and not being rated. There are many characters to play and each has his or her own psychotic persona. The creators were very creative in the personas which all had disturbing pasts.
10) The Punisher
The punisher features our favorite symbol of vengeance who is tracking down and killing criminals. The most prominent feature is the quick kill that is available when you sneak up on your target. The quick kill depends on the criminal, location, and your aggression level . There fore there are many fatal moves used to kill and there is a large variety making this game very violent.
